DENVER — 10 years ago, this was an era when graphic designers and photographers could shoot in the style of the 80’s.
Now, the decade is largely remembered as a golden age for graphic design.
That’s thanks to a variety of reasons, from the popularity of the 1980s pop-culture icon, The Beatles, to the rise of web design, which brought a level of professionalism and creative freedom to the process of designing and building.
A number of the people who helped shape this decade also had a hand in its success, including John Sculley, the founder of Adobe, and Steve Jobs, the man who revolutionized computing and made computers popular.
Nowadays, it’s hard to think of a time when people were more influenced by the 80ies than they are now.
The best example of that influence is the look and feel of this decade.
From the grunge of The Rolling Stones to the post-punk of The Strokes, these designers were influenced by what was going on in the music business.
The 80s was a time of upheaval, and it’s important to remember that artists of this era had a huge impact on the way the world looks.
This year, we’re celebrating the 80 years of The Beatles with a look back at some of their greatest songs.
